Sooooo…with the Discovery now being in the 32nd century…after leaving the 23rd century…are they going to be refitted (antefitted? profitted? ) and upgraded with future tech? They’d have to in order to survive, right?

Look at the NX-01 vs NCC-1701 vs NCC-1701-E. Much smaller gap between #s 1 and 3 than what we’re looking at here. And think just how antiquated each of those vessels is compared to the one just ahead of it.

What will Discovery even look like inside/out if this occurs? Assuming the Alpha and Beta quadrants didn’t go full ‘Mad Max’ and massively regress technologically (which might give the writers more leeway).
